preparation

  1. Wrap each date with a slice of bacon and fix with a toothpick.

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 bay leaf

preparation

  1. Cook rice with twice the amount of water, a pinch of rice and the saffron until the water is completely absorbed by the rice.
  2. When the rice has cooled, mix with the mince, a finely chopped garlic clove, egg and chopped chilli pepper.
  3. Now shape the balls.
  4. Sauté the onions and two finely chopped garlic cloves with olive oil in a saucepan and add the bay leaf.
  5. Pour the sugar over it and add the finely chopped, peeled tomatoes.
  6. Bring to the boil for about 10 minutes and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Place the meatballs in the sauce and simmer for about 20 minutes.
